Jesus seems to have spent a considerable amount of time teaching about the Kingdom ofheaven. His teaching on how to enter the Kingdom is very different from that of other religions. Many religions suggest that we must be good people, or that we must divorce ourselves from worldly attachments, or that we, some other way, must earn God’s favor. While these things have kernels of truth contained within them, Jesus was very clear that no one can come to God except through Him (JOHN 14:6). It is all about knowing Jesus. Once we know Him then Jesus says, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him” (JOHN 14:23). God has promised to make His home with
us. To know the Kingdom of God is to know Jesus Christ. We must accept Him and then spend our lives getting close to Him.

Religious Traditions; Mark 6-8
Religious traditions are interesting to consider. On the one hand they can preserve truth and pass it on generation to generation. On the other hand, they can replace the truth they are trying to preserve! When they do this, they become futile. It is all too easy for us to see people devoted to o...
