Prof. McIntosh shows how science lay effectively dormant for centuries as investigations in the natural world were not governed by hypothesis and experiment, but rather by Greek philosophy, and by following authority figures such as Aristotle and the Greek philosophers. This fed into the authoritarianism of the Roman Catholic Church and was only broken by the Reformation in the 16th century. Minds set free to test and question then developed brilliant advances in science and engineering which led to many discoveries. However, minds governed by evolutionary philosophy have spurned the Bible and are turning away from true science. To reconnect the Gospel to the culture we must challenge evolutionary thinking.
