"Our greatest challenge is to learn how to live for God in the time we exist. We are far removed from the times, places, and cultures of the Bible, our duty is to understand the meaning of the Scriptures and apply those meanings to our own culture. This flies in contrast to our age of doing what feels right to us, of individual truths, and of protesting anything that seems to want to impose morality on us. Protesting itself seems to have
become a virtue! Let’s remember though that God’s Kingdom is not like us, it isn’t like our earthly governments, and it isn’t a democracy. Our wills are voluntarily bowed to God’s will because we recognize our short-sightedness, our sin, and His excellence. He is God, and we will bow before Him in praise and honour because He is perfect and holy. God
has given us His way to live. The question then stands, and should be pondered daily by us: How do we properly follow God in our current circumstances?"
