"Lifestyle changes are difficult. On the one hand, it is almost inconceivable that we would want to stay the same after being redeemed by Christ. On the other hand, it is hard to change, and living for God requires us to break sin that has become habitual; it is challenging. The Holy Spirit is the only way we can understand the changes that need to be made and then have the power to make them. In the ancient time of the Old Testament, new and forming Israel was commanded to change their lifestyle. In our
reading today, those who suffered with leprosy were identified and they had a specific place to go, not living in the camp anymore. This was for the purpose of keeping the others clean and not spreading debilitating disease. This should not be taken as a comment on their worth but on their condition.
