"While it is often said that time heals all wounds and that humans are often the victims of chance, we would be wise to remember that God is the Creator of everything and is still an active force in the world. God is not a God of chance. Though things take time to heal, true healing comes only from God. God is a designer. It is important to get this fact in our minds as we read through the Biblical prophets because they do not view the world as victim to time and chance. Instead, they see the world through the lens of God’s great plan, that works with, through, and despite human interference and human free will. These concepts are important to remember as we read Isaiah 45.
