There are many who do not identify the name of the LORD because they feel that it is too sacred. But Paul the apostle uses the name Jesus Christ often because it is that name which changes everything. The truth is that Jesus Christ changes our lives when we come to Him and submit our sinful life over to Him. The ancient people of Israel believed that you could not even write the
name of God because of His holiness. However, Paul speaks to the church at Rome and makes it clear that the name of the Lord Jesus is so powerful it changes us. Paul says, “For ‘whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved’ ” (ROMANS 10:13). We are then baptized in the name of the
Father, in the name of the Son, and in the name of the Holy Spirit. Paul even rebaptized those who were not baptized in the name above all other names, Jesus Christ (ACTS 19:2-6; PHILIPPIANS 2 : 9 - 1 1 ). Jesus Christ was fully God in the flesh (JOHN 14:9-11). Jesus spoke when He came to us and
identified the cost of sin; He paid the price of sin with His death, but rose again because He was God. There is great mystery and beauty in the name of our Lord and Saviour.
