The government is always a challenge, isn’t it? I have heard so many people tell me they have figured out how to cheat on taxes through loopholes. But my question is: Is that what God wants us to do as believers? In Romans 13, Paul the apostle speaks to the church at Rome, the empire that hated Christians, and tells them to pay their taxes, and if possible, stay out of
trouble, and honour the king (or emperor) no matter who he is. There are a lot of people who rest on the immense claims that the way democracy works is to protest always. But again, I ask: Is that what God wants us to do when we are proclaiming Jesus Christ as the Saviour of the world? There is something more important than establishing our rights here on earth and that
is proclaiming Jesus Christ as the King of all kings. Soon the spiritual and the physical will come together once again, and God’s Kingdom will be visible for all to see.
