Speaking the Truth; 2 Corinthians 12-13

We must be committed to the truth! In 2 Corinthians 13:8, Paul says, “For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth.” The only way to live in the will of God is to be committed to His truth. Our problem today is that we have so much information coming at us all the time, it can be easy to lose our focus on truth. We see the news, the podcasts, the reels, etc.: We can
see what is happening around the world almost immediately, and we can see it with countless takes and commentaries. But where is the truth in that? Our world’s mantra of “your truth is your truth, and my truth is my truth” is frankly, foolish. Yes, we all have different perspectives, but there is still a truth. In a historical event, something still happened, regardless of how we feel
about it. I firmly believe that the only way to make sense of our world is to make a commitment to Jesus Christ and trust the work of the Holy Spirit to keep us. In our reading today, Paul reminds the Corinthian Christians of the importance of staying close to the Holy Spirit.

The Mysteries; Ephesians 1-3
What is the New Testament talking about when it mentions the mysteries of Christ? Wake Up!; Ephesians 4-6
As we’re reading through Ephesians, it is interesting to remember back to the book of Acts when it describes Paul’s visit and work in the city of Ephesus. Back in Acts 19 we see Paul begin to preach there first in the synagogue of that city (ACTS 1 9 : 8 ), but his message was rejected there. In ...
