Season 11, Episode 11

It is all too easy to get tired of trying to do the right thing. All around us we see evil, we see people like us working against the good. It can be hard to keep our eyes on Jesus and off the world, but that is what we have to do! The reality is, there are many people whom God has living for Him, we just can’t always see them. There are many thousands of Christians who are touching this world in astoundingly good ways! And I don’t mean just in charitable giving,
feeding the hungry or working with great mission organizations, though those things are happening. I mean also in doing the right and godly thing when faced with life’s challenges. As Galatians concludes we see Paul encouraging the churches, a big change after opening the letter with intense correction. Paul explains to them, and to us today, that Christians need to intentionally work with each other with a heart of gentleness. This is a fruit of the Spirit that
needs to grow in our lives.

Wake Up!; Ephesians 4-6
As we’re reading through Ephesians, it is interesting to remember back to the book of Acts when it describes Paul’s visit and work in the city of Ephesus. Back in Acts 19 we see Paul begin to preach there first in the synagogue of that city (ACTS 1 9 : 8 ), but his message was rejected there. In ...

Christ is Preached; Philippians 1-2
The book of Philippians has a very different tone to it than the other New Testament letters written by Paul. Paul is not confronting the church at Philippi with any major sins or combating false teaching, he is writing to encourage them. His main encouragement revolves around them continuing in ...
