"One of the greatest things we can do is the work of God. The LORD uses His people to
do His work. It is all too easy for us to become proud or impatient and do things our way
instead of God’s way. It is always better for us to follow the LORD and with His help,
learn to do things His way. When we chose our way over His way, it means we can get
ourselves into trouble and avoid the full blessings of the LORD. The blessings of God
come to us when we live in obedience to Him. While Moses aimed to do the work of God,
he was still a man like us and was capable of grave errors. One of these is highlighted
in the passage we read today when Moses chose not to obey the LORD. Like all sin,
consequences followed.

chosen to show Himself to us. But the mos... -

Many times we forget how far we have come. God knows our lives from beginning to end.
We should keep that in mind when we pray. The LORD knew the places that the nation
of Israel would be moving, and He knew the times they would remain stationary. In the
wilderness, He was teaching them who He wa... -
Land Divisions; Numbers 34-36
When the children of Israel entered the Promised Land, the Bible records the divisions of
the land and the names of the men who were granted to take it. Reuben, Gad, and half of
the tribe of Manasseh had already taken land that they had requested on the east side of
the Jordan. The nine and a hal...
