The lesson then explores the famous orchestral work Boléro by Maurice Ravel, where listeners hear how instruments are gradually added to build rich musical texture. Along the way, students learn about monophony, harmony, polyphony, and heterophony and experience how multiple musical parts can work together to create exciting and expressive music.
