By day 22, the baby has a detectable heartbeat. By week 8, the heart looks and functions very much as it will at birth. While in the womb, the baby's lungs are dormant and the heart and placenta work together to bring oxygen to the baby. The transformation that happens in the heart and lungs when the baby is born is truly miraculous.
Extraordinary processes have to be in place in order for the baby to develop and survive its transition into the world A living God is the only reasonable explanation.
