Season 8, Episode 11

God’s judgment comes because we have disobeyed the LORD. He gives us many chances to come back to Him, many chances to come back to the right way of living, but when we consistently ignore Him there will be trouble. Jerusalem was a prestigious city, full of confidence. Their pride and joy was the Temple of the LORD, and they thought that God would always honor the place of His presence among them. The Temple seems to have always been a dream of men, David desired to build it, Solomon
constructed it with the LORD’s approval, but now it had lost its significance. Our desires are not always God’s desires, even when a plan starts out with the right motivations. God’s will is that we become people who follow Him. Sometimes this means we do have to physically do or build something; at other times this means we dedicate ourselves to prayer. Regardless, we must keep our minds focused on God’s desires, not our own.
