Paul, who before his conversion was called Saul, was a dynamic advocate for Christ Jesus. During Paul’s second missionary journey, we can see how many people were upset and troubled by what he proclaimed. However, others were delighted in what Paul taught and were relieved by the healing and helping of Jesus through Paul’s ministry. One thing that made Paul different was that he did not advance himself. He promoted the work of Jesus Christ, and he strove to build God’s Kingdom rather than his own name. A lot of strange and miraculous things happened during Paul’s ministry that must have caused shake-ups. An example of this occurred when Paul was ministering and preaching in Troas. As Paul was speaking to a group of new Christians there, a young man fell asleep while sitting in a third story window. He fell out and the Scripture says that he was taken up dead. Rather than mourn the loss, Paul went down and told the people not to worry. He prayed for the young man, and he revived!
