In Revelation 7, we see the marking of Christian believers, and we see a great gathering of souls in heaven to worship before God’s throne. Early in the chapter, the tribes of Israel are all mentioned as they were in Genesis 49. It is interesting that the tribe of Ephraim is replaced with the name Joseph, who was Ephraim’s father. Later in the chapter, when we see a great multitude in heaven, we’re told that no one could number them – that’s a lot of people! Together, these people and the angels around God’s throne will begin to praise the Lord, saying among other things, “Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom, thanksgiving and honor and power and might, be to our God forever and ever. Amen” (REVELATION 7:12). This is all a
part of God readying things in heaven for the events on earth.

The Seven Bowls; Revelation 16
