"The eighth time that Moses confronts Pharaoh with God’s message to let His people go, we begin to see a change in Pharaoh’s hardness of heart because of the power of God. Pharaoh’s magicians cannot duplicate the miracles of God anymore. They insist that Pharaoh listen to Moses and let the people go. It is interesting that God told Pharaoh to let His people go, God wanted all His people to leave Egypt. Pharoah was willing to let the men go and worship God, but he did not want all the people to leave. Pharaoh
wanted a compromise that would allow him to maintain control over the Israelites, but God would not bend on His call and command to Pharoah. When we try to do God’s will our way, or halfway, we get into trouble. When we commit ourselves wholeheartedly to God, we succeed.
