"Genesis is the book of beginnings. In its first four chapters, we learn about God’s creation and how it went wrong with the bad decisions of Eve and Adam. The book of Revelation is the consummation of everything in time and space as we know it. They both represent significant beginnings and endings, so it makes sense that the arguments around both of these Biblical books are deep and emotional. But what does God want us to know? He clearly did not put them in His Word so that we would argue over them. Revelation is about the nature and Spirit of Jesus Christ. God is speaking of Himself, and how He will deal with sin and how He will deal with the people who love Him. Revelation chapters 2-3 are written to seven churches. Some have problems, some do not. God speaks honestly and openly to the Church about getting ourselves in shape for the second coming of Jesus Christ. Then,
the LORD goes on to explain how He confronts the evil in this world.
