"Human beings are interesting creatures. It's true! So often our desire is for the best of everything to maximize our enjoyment, while we avoid anything negative that could ruin our plans or fun. It is common to even try and make deals with God to gain the best for our lives. But what is the best thing for our lives? Is it feeling good all the time, never having
any troubles or challenges? God speaks to the people of Judah and Jerusalem, asking why they had refused to listen and obey His instructions. They had let their feelings dictate to them who God was, all the while disregarding His actual words and warnings. Through Jeremiah, God uses the obedient Rechabites as an example to disobedient Judah. God
points out that the Rechabites refused to drink wine because of a covenant they had made with their forefather Rechab, a man, yet Judah did not uphold or obey the covenant with Him, Almighty God. As God had spoken, Judah would receive their impending doom, while the house of the Rechabites would be blessed before God forever.

A Condition of the Heart; Jeremiah 41-44
"There is a condition so deadly that it not only takes our life from us but also gives us no hope for the afterlife. This condition is called sin. Sin is doing what God has told us not
to do. Sin separates us from God. Some of us resist God or even the idea that there is a God. Some of us resist ... -
Trust in the LORD!; Jeremiah 45-48
"What we say and what we do are not always the same thing. As I think about this, I find myself thinking about how each monetary coin and bill in the USA has the inscription,
‘IN GOD WE TRUST’. In each transaction of U.S. currency, the exchange makes the claim that the U.S.A. and the one who spen...
