"Zophar is one of the three men who come to comfort Job. He is from Naamah in northern Arabia. His name reflects the arrogance of his statements. It means “twittering bird.” Zophar perfectly represents the pride of people who think they speak for God. In his comments, Zophar claims that God has not dealt with Job as He should have, implying
that it should be much worse. He counters Job’s call for justice and declares that Job has done something wrong and should repent. This kind of thinking still happens today; it’s easy to see on social media. Many people make claims that are absolutely false but sound true. Satan, the enemy of our soul, does his work through our demands for justice
