Christians are held to a higher standard with greater responsibility since we represent God to others on earth. That's why we, at Bible Discovery, make every effort to bring God’s wonderful Word front and center. There are many who say that God speaks to them and claim divine knowledge, and while that may be true, the Bible must always be our reference point to spot contradictions, discern truth from falsehood, and navigate the wide array of beliefs, attitudes, and feelings people have. King David is well known as a prophet king, someone God spoke to and through, yet David made mistakes–––many times, in many ways. For instance, David chose to violate the commands of God by taking a census of Israel and its army. As a result, Israel went into great distress. Yet through these grave mistakes, David repented, and God remained faithful to him.
