God gives us an amazing example of how to pray in the gospels. It is a statement from this prayer that I want to highlight for us today, “…and do not lead us into temptation but deliver us from the evil one” (MATTHEW 6:13). Temptations are by their nature seductive. We need to be people who recognize our weaknesses and immediately take our needs to our Heavenly Father in prayer. Consider what Jesus said to His disciples in Luke 22:40, “Pray that you may not enter into temptation.” Temptation is a very powerful and personal tool the enemy uses against each of us, but God is faithful! He is able to help us overcome weaknesses in ourselves. 1 Corinthians
10 also talks about temptation, and we would be wise to listen to it. We can’t always avoid being tempted by evil, but we can run from the seduction of it and bring ourselves immediately before our Father and ask for help.

Love; 1 Corinthians 13-14
In our reading today we have come to the very famous Biblical passage about love. It has been recited at countless marriages and I’m sure seminars, sermons, and counselling sessions as well. It’s funny because we all seem to think that we know what love is. We’ve all experienced it in our lives, ...

The Resurrection; 1 Corinthians 15-16
The uniqueness of Christianity truly rests in the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Very few people try to deny that Jesus Christ existed as a historical figure, but many people do deny that He rose from the dead. This is because accepting Jesus’ resurrection from the dead would also mean accepting H...
