Our lifestyle changes when we reach out to Jesus Christ to cover our sins. The LORD changes us. This is called sanctification. When we believe on the Lord Jesus, we make a decision to follow Him and that affects how we think and live. We are no longer to think about ourselves so much as about pleasing God. It is a shift of life, and those who have made that shift
successfully are fully committed to loving and glorifying God. Romans 15 explains how and why our thinking changes as we follow Christ, rather than living for ourselves. Paul says in Romans 15:1, “We then who are strong ought to bear with the scruples of the weak, and not to please
ourselves.” What a major shift in the way we think and live! Our life as a believer in Christ is very different after we have been given the gift of eternal life and our sins have been forgiven. We are to follow the example of the Lord, Jesus Christ, who did not live to please the flesh. The way of God’s love demands this change.
