one of the most common arguments against the Bible concerns its stance on "slavery." At first glance, the word "slavery" seems identical to our modern understanding, particularly the tragic results of the Atlantic slave trade. However, after some research, it becomes clear that the Bible is discussing two entirely different concepts. The type of slavery seen in the Atlantic Slave Trade is never endorsed by God. In fact, whenever something like that is mentioned, it is described as evil in the sight of God. God freed the Israelites out of slavery from Egypt.
