"Why do we live? This is a key question, no matter when or where you are alive. If you are someone who believes in Jesus Christ, then you know that your life is ultimately destined for eternity. This gives you new objectives for your life here on earth; there is more to it than fulfilling your own desires. Romans 15 describes how a Christian is supposed to live. Paul explains to the believers in the decadent city of Rome that they live for a much higher purpose than personal indulgence. Jesus Christ calls us to advance His Kingdom, not our own desires or wants. There is a difference between our wants and our needs. Christians are to live following the example of Christ who did not live to please Himself but gave Himself according to the will of the Father.
