"In Matthew 10, we see how Jesus calls His twelve disciples together to Him and gives them an assignment. There was nothing extraordinary about these men, except that God had called them from their livelihoods to follow Him and was now sending them out with a specific task. It was not about what these men did or who they were or who their parents
were, but it was the power of God in them that took these ordinary men and made them into the amazing men we know them as today - - the apostles. The LORD Jesus defines each of us in a way that makes sense of our life because every life has a calling and a purpose given by God. God calls every person to do His work and will in the time they live. It is only when we resist God and do what we feel instead that we have conflict and trouble in our lives. When we surrender our lives to the LORD and ask Him to help us as we follow Him, He does! This is an important lesson for everyone to learn.
