"Josiah was a remarkable young king. When challenged by anyone who opposed him, his response was direct and pointed. He knew that God was with him because he was seeking the ways of the LORD. As Judah's 18th king, Josiah made a deep and personal commitment to return the kingdom to the LORD God. How he expressed this was to
confront the ways of Jerusalem with the will and Word of God. Josiah inquired as to the future of his life. Though he lived in an evil time and place, the LORD promised him that he would go to his grave in peace and see the result of his work for God. The changes that happened took place because of Josiah's commitment to the covenant of God. When we make a commitment to the LORD, it is astounding how God always follows up
with His favor.
