"As we reflect on the ministry of Christ, it is undeniable that much happened on and before the cross of Jesus Christ. one of the points for us to highlight is the way the military of that day ridiculed and mocked Jesus during His trial and crucifixion. Also, the religious leaders took their turn to mock Him saying, ""He saved others; Himself He cannot save. If He is the King of Israel, let Him now come down from the cross, and we will believe Him"" (Matthew 27:42). These are some of the elements of the crucifixion that are easily missed. Let's note here that Jesus Christ did in fact come down from the cross. He rose again three days later in the flesh! Even so, those who consistently mocked Him could not and would not admit that, and there are those who still hold to that belief today. No matter what naturalistic or conspiratorial theories arise, none of them have been able to fully explain all the historical elements of the resurrection. This is a great victory because the resurrection of the LORD Jesus Christ is a critical and undeniable part of Christianity.
