"The book of Psalms is a hymnal of Israel and all Bible believers. Even though it’s mostly written by King David, it contains a variety of singer-songwriters. Psalm 90, for instance, is a prayer of Moses. The song was prayed by Moses when he led and lived among the Israelites. There were times when meditating on God and who He is through music was important. Meditation is a good way to carefully contemplate things. This is one of the reasons that music is so important to our souls, a vital tool to help us learn about God and in our praise and worship of Him. It helps centre our focus on God. What we think about is not simply a logical contemplation about God, but He is how we sing and live. In the same way, Psalm 90 expresses who God is and opens our minds to how we can think about Him. When we read and sing Psalm 90, we also learn how God sees us.
