"I often talk about how Christianity gives purpose to life, and the book of Colossians is a great example of how this idea is taught by the apostle Paul. Originally, Colossians was a letter written by Paul to the church at Colosse, and to me it has two distinct focuses: Doctrinal and practical. The overall purpose of the book of Colossians is to highlight Jesus Christ as preeminent, first and foremost in all that we do. This means that the Christian life should revolve around the work and message of Jesus Christ. We are rooted in Him and are focused on what He wants from us; this is our main life objective. This means that everything we do in our life is impacted. It means that we stop pursuing sinful desires and worldly pleasures. Jesus is coming back soon, and He brings with Him the power to judge the work we have
done individually and collectively. It would be very good for all of us to turn our mind towards building the Kingdom of God and work on doing what Christ has told us to do.
