Flat earthers often try to equate their style of argumentation as similar to biblical creationists, but the truth is they are quite different. Far from helping convince the world about the truth of God and his Word (what flat earthers declare the ‘globe earth conspiracy’ is about), flat-earth beliefs (which distort the plain reading of Scripture to accommodate it combined with the willingness to deny observational science to maintain it), have certainly not been helpful advancing gospel witness to a skeptical world. Because unlike the creation/evolution debate (where the argument centers around the historical interpretation of the same observed facts), even repeatable, observational experiments that demonstrate the earth is globe shaped (such as the Final Experiment) have been denyed by flat earth proponents.
