From Hezekiah to Josiah; 2 Chronicles 33-36

It was approximately 726 BC when Hezekiah began his kingdom. During his reign, Hezekiah’s life was miraculously extended by God by fifteen years, and three years later his son Manasseh was born to the king by his wife Hephzibah. Manasseh took over rulership at about 698 BC. He was the leading example of evil in God’s kingdom and would eventually drive Judah into a horrible abandonment of God.
Surprisingly, Manasseh repented at the end of his life and his son Amon took over around 641 BC. He was just as evil as his father, and ruled for two years before he was conspired against and killed by his servants. Then, Josiah became the nineteenth king to reign in Jerusalem, when he was just eight years old. It was the beginning of a remarkable revival!
