Sin is not simple, and it is not something that can easily be understood. It is complicated and messy, and our sin has unforeseen consequences not only on ourselves but often others as well. It is good for us then to stay away from it! Paul the apostle told the church at Corinth, “Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body” ( 1 CORINTHAINS 6:18). We are to flee or to literally sprint away from sin. Proverbs says, “My son, do not walk in the way with them (sinners), keep your foot from their path” (PROVERBS 1:15). We are warned in the Bible, countless times, against sin and sinful ways. We are wise then to keep ourselves shy of the sin culture because it leads to nothing but shame, regret, and ultimately destruction.
