Genesis 20-23 show us examples of faith tested, faith failed, and faith well-lived. Genesis 20 records when Abraham lied to a king named Abimelech in order to save his life. This was a deep violation of trusting God. In chapter 21, God visits Sarah and Abraham in their old age and miraculously, Sarah becomes pregnant! This was a promise fulfilled by God. Chapter 22 highlights a faith confirmed, Abraham is willing to trust God in a sacrifice. In Genesis 23, Sarah comes to the end of her life in Hebron, so we see Abraham purchasing the cave of Machpelah as a tomb. Today, we are going to concentrate on Genesis 22 and the testing of Abraham and Isaac’s faith. It is a stunning story. It is not only shocking that God would call Abraham to do this sacrifice, but also that Abraham would follow through! In the end, we see God stop
