"Paul writes to the people of Corinth as he would to his own sons and daughters. It is very personal. Still today, we should read the First Book of Corinthians the way Paul wrote it because the Holy Spirit ordained and preserved it for us to understand. Many people fight for their rights and freedoms as if it is the most important thing, but when we give our lives to follow the LORD Jesus Christ we give our free will over to Him. Paul
wanted to communicate this principle to the Corinthians (and to us today) that we must accept the LORD’s authority over us. This means that we must pray about all things and do all things according to what the LORD has told us. The Holy Spirit speaks through Paul that we are not alone; we are not isolated to use our free will to simply do what we want. Our decisions impact others around us, and we should pay attention to that. Paul speaks to all of us about the impact of our decisions. We are accountable for our actions before the LORD.
