Daniel 10 shows us the power and importance of prayer. It can be difficult for us to understand. God exists outside of time and space, there is so much that He can see that we can’t. He is so merciful and gracious to us in that He brings us help when we seek Him through prayer and daily devotion. We see this demonstrated throughout Daniel’s book. When Daniel was shown a vision about great conflict in the future, he continued to prioritize prayer and he went into a time of mourning. It took three weeks for God to send him an answer. Amazingly, an angel was sent to bring Daniel an answer. The angel’s presence was so powerful and surprising that Daniel’s physical strength was gone, and he fell to the ground. A touch from the angel paired with some encouraging words helped Daniel to regather himself and hear God’s message. God had heard Daniel from the first day he had begun to pray. How amazing it is to realize that God hears and speaks to us when we humbly seek Him. God’s words give strength to His servants, still today!
