There are consequences for the decisions we make. Most of us acknowledge this truth, even though we tend to not want the outcome of those choices. We will often not think about the consequences of our actions so that we can justify doing them in the first place! Our reading
today has me thinking about how God makes a choice about us just as we make a choice about Him. He has chosen to make Himself available to us. He has chosen to give people a free will, and that means that some people will chose to follow God while others will not. Every decision has an outcome. In Isaiah 65, we see how God made Himself open and accessible to the people. He sought them out, even though it should have been them seeking Him out. Still today, God seeks us out. He has made a way for us to come to Him through the work of Christ, and yet still we choose against Him. When it comes to God, we must choose wisely.
