One thing we ought to keep fresh in our mind is just how foolish this world truly is. Many would say that Hollywood has some of the most powerful people in the world—next to big name politicians and businessmen, Hollywood is the most influential. But is it really? In the grand scope of life eternal, how powerful is it? Ecclesiastes 6 speaks to this point. The author writes about the things that seem powerful but do not hold any power, that some people seem simple and weak but are actually strong and wise, powerful in the ways of righteousness. As we explore this profound book of ancient wisdom, we need to keep in mind that the enemy of our soul is attempting to distract us every day from God’s wisdom. In this way, Satan hopes to keep us from becoming powerful people who help and heal the world through the LORD Jesus.
