When Isaiah begins to speak about a time when the city of Damascus will be destroyed as a city, no more to be inhabited, he is talking about the time that Aram was destroyed. Aram was represented by Damascus and was defeated and obliterated in 732 BC. Remember that Israel was taken down in 722 BC. So, the time of its destruction was near to Isaiah. It is interesting
because in this chapter Isaiah begins to use the phrase, “In That Day”. It seems that it means two things: 1) a time of God’s wrath, and 2) a time of God’s blessing. There are two distinct ways in which God responds to those who are under Him. And that means everyone. If you reject the LORD, you are in line for God’s wrath; if you love the LORD and seek Him, you will receive God’s blessings. In our present time, my suggestion is joined with an urge to get right with the one called Jesus Christ, who is fully God, and make your life right with Him. You can be forgiven from your sin by confessing Jesus Christ as LORD, and invite Him into your life.

A Song of Salvation; Isaiah 25-28
The prophet Isaiah wrote a prophetic song for us to sing when Jesus Christ returns to defeat the great dragon, judge the world, and reign for a thousand years. This will happen after seven years of tribulation, which, I believe, will soon take place. Tribulation means trouble, and while most peop...

The Future; Isaiah 29-31
Many are afraid of the future. Less people are excited about the future. The evil in our hearts always finds a way to snatch that hope within us and take advantage of our fears. The prophet Isaiah wrote about a similar problem nearly three thousand years ago. He told the people of Judah to stop p...
