God's Word Read Wrong; Isaiah 5-8
Season 6, Episode 15

The Bible has been misinterpreted and misrepresented many times throughout history. The Word of God is written by the Holy Spirit—the true presence of God. The Holy Spirit guides and helps us to read and understand the Bible correctly; these are His Words and He defines them.
Isaiah knew that truth, too, and prophesied according to God’s instruction. God’s message is clear and direct, “…Gird yourselves, but be broken in pieces; Gird yourselves, but be broken in pieces. Take counsel together, but it will come to nothing;” ( I SAIAH 8:9-10). In other words, no matter what we say or how we build on our own opinions, God’s truth will always be proclaimed and prevail. There are many so-called prophets in the world today who claim to tell the truth, but what has God said? Isaiah received his prophetic call from God in the last year of King Uzziah’s reign over Judah, and begins to speak what the LORD has told him.
