Evil Judges Israel; Isaiah 1-4
Season 6, Episode 14

Evil, in whatever form it comes, is clearly a judgment from God. But crime has its cost. We are all born into evil, as the human race, and there is nothing we can do about that. It has been this way since the very beginning. But God has called men and women from all over the world to repent and follow Him. While many are called, few are chosen. Isaiah is one of those chosen. Isaiah is one of God’s faithful prophets who lived in the last part of the eighth century BC. He ministered in the reign of four kings: Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah. Tradition says that
Isaiah was cut in two with a wooden saw by the hands of King Manasseh, son of Hezekiah. Isaiah is identified as the son of Amoz. It is possible that Amoz was the brother of King Amaziah, making him the cousin of Uzziah. A recurring theme throughout Isaiah’s prophecies is a call to repentance. Isaiah urges Israel to fall on her knees in contrition for the evil she has committed against the LORD. If she repents and changes her ways, God will spare her. But will she?
