"There is a specific call to the earth and to the heavens from Almighty God. This call is covered in Psalm 50. The LORD says, ""The Mighty One, God the LORD, has spoken and called the earth from the rising of the sun to its going down.” (PSALM 50:1) This Psalm is the lyrics to a powerful song that we should pay attention to. God explains what is happening and what will happen in the future. He is not finished with this world, nor has He left it to itself. God is working with humanity, every day. The result of those encounters can be good or bad, based on our reactions to the LORD. The LORD is referred to as ""The Mighty One"" in Psalm 50 and has special significance to our understanding of authority. God's objective authority is always right and holy. Sinful man's authority is always wrong and controlling. So how will the world reconcile these two authorities? Psalm 50 explains how the world will end.
