"History is proof that humans are terribly flawed. Every tool man has made has been turned into a weapon. Every weapon man has made has been used on himself. Today, we have weapons so vast and devastating that it is entirely possible to destroy planet Earth and all its creatures by using them. We are drawing closer to the edge of total elimination than
we have ever been before. If the past has proven anything, it is that man’s pride has gotten the best of him time and time again. The future looks bleak. But there is still hope. God, our Father, sent His Son, Jesus, the Christ, to come and live with us as one of us. We did not recognize Him for who He was and so we decided to kill Him––a life He was willing to give. After three days, however, He rose from the dead by the power of God and ascended to heaven in the flesh. As a result of this selfless act of love, God now gives the gift of eternal life to those who repent of their sins and submit their lives to His Son Jesus Christ.
